How Long Does Insurance Authorization Take?

Insurance authorization typically takes as little as one week, though in rare cases it may take longer depending on the plan and individual circumstances. We keep families informed throughout the process and move as quickly as possible to avoid unnecessary delays in care.

What Determines the Cost of ABA Therapy?

The cost of ABA therapy depends on your insurance coverage and the number of therapy hours recommended for your child. Once a comprehensive assessment is completed and a personalized treatment plan is developed, we can provide a clearer estimate of coverage and expected costs.

Understanding Deductibles, Copays, and Out-of-Pocket Costs

Many insurance plans include a deductible, which is the amount you pay for covered services before insurance begins contributing. Some plans also require coinsurance, meaning you pay a percentage of the cost until reaching your out-of-pocket maximum, after which insurance typically covers services in full.

Other plans use copays, which are fixed payments per visit or day of service. Copays usually continue until the out-of-pocket limit is reached, at which point insurance coverage increases significantly. Every plan is different, and we help families understand how these details apply to their specific situation.

Coverage Limitations and Exclusions

If an insurance plan lists an “exclusion of benefits,” it means certain services are not covered or reimbursed. In some cases, families may be able to work with their employer or insurance provider to expand coverage options.

Some plans may also include limitations such as age restrictions, annual hour caps, or total dollar limits. Our team will review your plan carefully, explain any limitations, and help you plan confidently for your child’s care.

If you have any questions, contact our team today and we can guide you through your family’s insurance-paid autism treatment options.

The Inspiration Behind Colorful Minds ABA

The inspiration for Colorful Minds ABA stems from Eboni’s desire to provide access to services in areas that were often overlooked and underserved. She recognized the need to bring awareness to families new to autism, helping them navigate available resources and support with compassion and understanding.

Eboni envisioned a practice that would transform traditional ABA therapy into something colorful, dynamic, and life changing. Her goal was to make learning fun and impactful, creating experiences that children would never forget while empowering families to feel as though they had gained an extension of their own family in Colorful Minds ABA.

At Colorful Minds ABA, every therapy plan is tailored to meet the child where they are, blending play-based strategies with individualized goals to ensure progress feels natural and enjoyable.
